Nostalgia

Something brought me back to this site I spent so much of my time blogging on and it made me want to do it again... even if only for a time or two.

There is something fulfilling, something medicating about blogging, about putting your thoughts down in words.  If just for yourself to check out later or for all others to read.  It gives you much needed self reflection, without which you would keep doing the same stupid things that you never learn from.  I have been in a state of limbo lately with a lot of thing, not really going anywhere, just semi stagnant.  I know without the guidance of Jesus and his word this will happen and this is the primary reason for my stagnation, my lack of dedication to the said cause.  This is something I want to change and need your prayers to break the chains of my idleness.

I doubt too many of you still use this site, but if anyone does, shoot me a msg or something and would love to hear from you.

"Mr. Anderson, We've been expecting you..."

So Hello everyone, Unlike the quote about from that great triolgy of the Matrix I am sure that none of you were expecting to see me in the xanga universe. (I guess that is if you even still look at this pitiful site of mine  ) I have been checkin up on most of you all still and it made me miss this whole cult-;ike obsession we all call xanga, so like a twister in the midwest somewhere, I have been officially sucked back in. woot!

So lets see, I guess the best place to start would be officially announce my marriage the my beautiful fiance Jecelyn, which will be in only a few weeks, isnt that totally crazy!#$%%$%!!  The official date will be on Sept 3.  It is so crazy how fast God can change your life and you can be going the total opposite direction you were goin just one year prior.  He has been so amazing to me, so amazing to us all, we just need to sit back and see things in his perspective sometimes and take it all in.  I promise you no matter where you are in your life, Amazing things are just around the corner if not happening already, you just need to take time to see it thru his eyes to see how amazing they are.  Back to the wedding announcement, we will be going to Cancun for the honeymoon, which I am so totally thrilled about.  It is amazing how we even found the place and for the price was a blessing.  We are staying at the Riu Palace Las Americas, check in out on the web here.  I will have to give all the details of the trip after we get back, but I can for sure tell you one thing I will be doing a lot of while I am down there, and it isnt snorkeling...... lol.

Well ppl, I hope to have a few of the old cronies still on xanga and hope you will notice that I have updated and leave me some love to let me know you still care.  I plan on keeping this up so watch for me.  I hope everyone is doin so awesome, I cant wait to hear from ya.  And in tradional Ryan fashion, I have to go out with a totally randomized playlist. (which is somewhat diminished, I have lost some of my music due to computer stupidity, and they say these dumb machines will take over the world someday, HA!)

"I bet a fun thing would be to go way back in time to where there was going to be an eclipse and tell the cave men, "If I have come to destroy you, may the sun be blotted out from the sky." Just then the eclipse would start, and they'd probably try to kill you or something, but then you could explain about the rotation of the moon and all, and everyone would get a good laugh." Deep Thoughts by Jack Handy

So yea I know, I dont really pay much attention to this site anymore, whoops.  But trust me, its for very good reasons.  I dont really wanna type and do the typical entry tonight, but I do want to post some much needed pics of myself and the super hot lady of mine.

"If you’re in a war, instead of throwing a hand grenade at some guys, throw one of those little baby-type pumpkins.  Maybe it’ll make everyone think of how crazy war is, and while they’re thinking, you can throw a real grenade." Deeper Thought by Jack Handy

So dont you just hate it when you write a really long really awesome post and then you click submit and something happens and its totally lost....  yea thats what happened to me yesterday, I contemplated boycotting xanga for a while just because of that, but then I decided to give in.  Ecspecially since I have been very infrequent lately.

There is a very good reason for this infrequentness lately tho, and she goes by the name of Jecelyn.  I am sure that after my last post that yall just figured that was the reason and your right. Let me start by setting up the setting and our unrelating pasts.  I actually went to HS with this girl, she is like 3 years younger than me (big suprise there me dating a younger girl and all hah).  I didnt know this until just a few weeks ago, but I guess she had a huge crush on me back in HS, how cute it that ;)  So then fastfoward to present day now and this summer when we briefly saw each other up at the resort when I was workin at golf and she was at the pool.  Like we only saw each other for maybe 3 seconds, didnt talk or anything, just recognized each other and I realized how hot she really had become.  But those 3 seconds quickly disappeared from each our memories as we both had others at the time.  She works with my mom at the resort and so they talk when they get a chance.  And my mom being my mom always trying to get my hooked up and what not was selling me to her haha.  Jece was with a total jerk of a guy and was having lots of problems with him and she was just about done with it, the only thing keeping them together was this dudes whiney attitude and saying all like how he couldnt live without her, guys like that are lame.  I had mom get me her phone number and I called her up.  We talked for a long time and I gave her a lot of advice about her situation, and it was all non biased even tho I wanted to be bias.  Thats where this whole ride has started and I see no signs of it stopping.  Its just like one of those things where you "know".  I have never really had that, at least not anywhere near this extent and I am loving it.  She is truly a blessing from God and a woman after his own heart as well so that makes it very rad.  Here is a pic of her mad cuteness.....

So then we come to the whole job situation.  I am still really trying to find some guidence in the whole career thing, but its been rough.  I am sorta lost as to where God wants to me head and what oppertunities are really open to me as a Biology grad.  As you may know from past entries I almost got hired out at the job in Philly which had really good potential to be an awesome job.  They couldnt hire me a month ago due to a hiring freeze, I pretty much gave up on the place even tho he said he still may hire me later.  The last month havent been very productive in finding anything new.  So then Jecelyn and I go out for the first time about 2 weeks ago and things went just so amazing.  I was so giddy and happy that night, nothing could bring me off that cloud.  Then the next morning I get a call..... It was from none other than my guy in Philly abou that job.  He was calling to offer me that job.  I told him yea I was still interested altho I was very hesitant and he could sense it.  He told me he would call the next day to confirm.  So I had a very big decision to make.... If that call wouldhave happened a month ago when it was supposed to I would have taken it and thought it was where God wanted me to go.  But after getting to know Jecelyn and really seeing how speical she was coupled with the fact that the job didnt work out the first time.  Also from what God was telling me thru prayer as well as his word thru the book of Ecclesiates, I decided that family and friends are more important to me than any job that I could ever take.  I know to some it may sound totally crazy that I am turning down a job for a girl I knew for one day, but I guess that just shows you how I really feel about her, like i said, I just know.  I am not worried,God will provide more oppertunities and meet my needs, he is Amazing!

Ok..... not  much time to post that much, but its been a bit since I said anything and a lot has actually been going on, I want to tell it all in more detail, but for now I will be brief........I met the most awesome girl, I could not have imagined this happening to me around here like this.  She lives like 5 mins from me so its awesome.  We talk talked and hung out the last three days and today will make four.  God has amazing ways of working and I praise him for this major blessing.  God has been very good to me lately, I have had an amazing fire for learning about his word and sharing my knowledge of it with all sorts of ppl.  Keep me in your prayers...  More on all this later, I promise and its a good story!!! So stay tuned and I guess I can throw a little playlist in here for all you who come here just to see what gnarly jams I am kickin it to...

Don't go to Peyongyang North Korea on spring break with a leather jacket that has an American Flag on the back; Your name on the front, and in big letters "God is an American." With some twenty's hanging out of your pocket for effect, while you tell people "America is better than this rat hole of a country!"
